Whether you produce cement, industrial minerals or solid fuels: Christian Pfeiffer designs and builds grinding plants for many different feed materials and end products. Our mills are as diverse as our customers' requirements. Ball mill, roller press, vertical mill, or autogenous mill? Our employees are experts in grinding plants and will analyze for you which mill will give you the most efficient production.
The ball mill is individually equipped with high-quality mill internals based on material analyses. This way, we ensure the most energy-efficient processes at maximum throughput rates.
Increases the production rate of your ball mill by up to 100 % while reducing energy costs by up to 40 %.
The vertical mill, with integrated classifier, enables high energy utilization and convinces with low specific wear values.

Ball mills are the classic among grinding systems: They are used in about 90 % of all installations worldwide. The ball mill impresses with its simple principle and low maintenance requirements: it is robust, durable and has a high operating reliability. By using a separator in the closed circuit, the efficiency can be additionally increased.
Roller presses are high-pressure grinding rolls which are often used when large quantities of product are to be ground energy-efficiently. The two counter-rotating rollers of the roller press exert very high pressure on the material, effectively crushing and weakening the particles. Microcracks are created and make it easier to grind the particles finely. Used as a pre-grinding system in ball mill circuits, for example, production increases of up to 40 % and more can be achieved.
The vertical mill enables a high energy utilization and convinces with low specific wear values. Drying of the feed material, grinding, classifying and material transport take place within the mill. It is therefore particularly suitable for grinding products with high proportions of moist components.
Our robust autogenous and semi-autogenous mills ensure efficient self-comminution of the product within the mill. In many cases, a SAM mill can replace a high-maintenance combination of crushing and screening equipment, making it a reliable, cost-effective alternative. As with ball mills, the material inside is lifted by the rotary motion, falls down by gravity and is crushed in this way. In the case of particularly hard material or in order to accelerate the comminution process, grinding media can be added which additionally break up the material. If the throughput rate is to be increased in the future, a ball mill can be flexibly added downstream.
The elimination of bottlenecks can lead to significant energy savings.
